While at Balasore, officiating for SurgeonMajor Zorab, I was summoned hastily to see ft young Ooriah admitted into the Balasore Pilgrim Hospital, with a gun-shot wound of the liver. It did not take me long driving down, when I found the patient with a small bullet wound over the right hypocondrium corresponding with the 9th rib. I elicited on enquiry he had been accidentally shot by the chowkidar of the village whilst firing at a pig 12 hours before.
